April is a busy month for recording sessions…

Having already boshed one with the Ships boys, i’ve got the Kenelis EP recording booked in with Chris Coulter (Arcane Roots) and some cheeky J-Pop lined up for the same week.

The J-Pop sesh is with a load of wicked musicians including Macc Kano on bass, the drummer from The Kooks and the keys player from The Cure.

Lots of fresh sounds :)

Currently in the studio with Jumping Ships demoing some new material for the forthcoming album. Recording with the very lovely Tim Morris (Enter Shikari / Young Guns) and i have to say it’s sounding pretty meaty!!!

Looking forward to hearing the final mixes… will post them up soon.

The L Project Feat. Kenelis - Hits number 11 in UK Charts

Mel Sanson “Kenelis” hits number 11 in the charts with “The L Project”!

On Feb. 11th 2012, The L Project released their charity single, “It Does Get Better”, with the aim of raising as much money as possible to help combat LGBT bullying. The L Project is a collection of the UK’s most talented lesbian performers, who gave up their time for free, coming together because of how passionately they believe in the cause.

Movers & Shakers - Single & Video.

Massive thanks to Kerrang! for premiering Jumping Ships new free single “Movers & Shakers”, upcoming UK Tour dates and a tour montage video for the single - (Link in header).

This video was put together as a homage to Alex Pott’s time in the band, after his departure in early 2012.

In other news let’s welcome the one and only Oli Austen into the fold - Drummer extraordinaire and all round legend. Give him a cheeky tweet - @Olijships

Also a big thanks to Hayden Amps for sharing the love and hosting the video across their networks. That tour was Hayden central ;)

So yeah check the vid and give the tune a whirl.

Had a cheeky day up in London recording backing tracks for use at functions events and bands online demos. Boshed through some of “The Who”, “The Beatles”, “Kings of Leon”, “Blur” and… *coughcough* “Razorlight”… Fun times!
